We included this as well as introduced the latest technological advances.

We took the best of the X2 and the X3, strengthened the collars, improved the quality of the travel case, introduced "Live on Location" Laptop capture, & included the myhipod.com site for coaches to fundraise with video footage.

We have committed to the X4 by making it the core of our future. The X4 design will be the core for future innovation at HI-POD. The accessory kits for the X4- "Robotic Head" basketball gymcam, & the Line-of-Scrimmage Cam will be addons to the present X4 unit. This eliminates the possibility of your HI-POD X4 Endzone unit from becoming obsolete.

This adaptability means that the HI-POD CORE X4 will work for all of your outdoor sports (like football, soccer, lacrosse, baseball), but now with the addition of the robotic gymcam, you will be able to use indoors for Basketball, Volleyball and Wrestling. You will even be able to control the HI-POD from the stands.

The versatility does not stop there. With the addition of the laptop plate, the HI-POD CORE X4 provides three different ways for the user to capture footage of a sporting event: Capture in the tape of the camera, capture in the game recorder or capture "LIVE" via firewire into your laptop. Each method has its advantages, but the HI-POD CORE X4 provides users with the flexibility of choosing which is best from them.

Another cost saving measure that HI-POD has reintroduced with the CORE X4 is the ability to use Cameras with LANC or without. LANC is the standard lens control protocol that has been used for years.(This wired controller allows the user to be distant from the camera and still have total control of the camera) But this method requires the user to purchase a more expensive Sony Camera. (Sony recently decided that LANC was a premium item and therefore all cameras with LANC would be much more expensive). The Canon ZR series is the alternative that HI-POD has packaged with the CORE X4. By wiring the wireless remote, the HI-POD user is able to have total remote control of the Canon camera without the expensive LANC protocol that was necessary in the past. But the HI-POD cabling is flexible enough to also accommodate the use of SONY Lanc cameras. So if the HI-POD user wants to switch cameras, he will be able to do so. Just another cost saving innovation from HI-POD.

Once again HI-POD reintroduces affordable packages for your team or school to acquire the HI-POD. Purchase, or Finance the HI-POD over 2, 3 or even 5 years. You can now even rent the Core X4 for even $350month. Stop into the new HI-POD RENTAL OFFICE to pick up your rental unit today.

HI-POD
4300 W. The unit provides instant replay as well as the ability to cut and log your plays without the need of additional software. This convenience makes it easy for football coaches to get back to what they do best: coach football.

The units are great because of the multiple ways to get video and power into the unit, as well as the multiple ways to get the video out of the unit. Two ports allow for power and video to enter the game recorder. The main port is a slot at the bottom of the game recorder. It is a flat ribbon connector that makes for easy input. The backup jacks are on the side of the game recorder. These jacks allow for video and power to enter thru the side.

There are multiple ways to view the Game Recorder footage. The video out jack on the side of the game recorder makes it easy to connect a tv or vhs or projector for classroom or group viewing. The 7 inch screen makes for comfortable viewing whereever you are. And the USB2 jack makes it very fast and easy to transfer footage to a computer or laptop.

The Game Recorder even comes with a convenient headrest case and cigarette lighter power jack- making it easy to watch your game in a car or on the busride home.

Contact hi-pod today about ordering your own HI-POD GAME RECORDER.

office 310-301-2911
info@hi-pod.com

HI-POD giving away Game Recorders WEEKLY!

To introduce the new HI-POD website (myhipod.com) HI-POD is giving away a free GAME RECORDER each week for the best football play uploads. Coaches, parents, players, videographers can upload any footage of any high school or college game (this season) and potentially win a game recorder. Winners are announced each week.

The Pocket Game Recorder is a quick way to capture video footage from a camera and convert to a computer file. This computer file makes it even easier to analyze plays on the computer, burn to DVD, and upload clips to the new myhipod.com website. For an example of what the Game Recorder looks like and what footage from the Game Recorder looks like please visit the following page. (http://www.gr.hi-pod.com)

HI-POD's myhipod.com is a sports vault for every school in the country. The site allows all schools to upload video clips to the school's very own page on the myhipod.com site. The clips are arranged by sport. They are further broken down by the type of play that is being uploaded. For example, football plays can be uploaded as touchdowns, turnovers, pass, run, hits, etc. You can even create a player profile where great plays for individuals can be viewed by friends, family and most importantly College recruiters.

The most exciting part of the myhipod.com site is the ability for the school to control its video assets and make money on those clips. Each page has advertising banners that the coach or the athletic director can control. The school can add or delete ads for the a game or season. The school can charge the sponsors for the ad space. Why give your game highlights to a website for free? Why let another website make money on advertising when your program can make the money.? Sign up today. Its free. MYHIPOD.COM

HI-POD MOBILE CAPTURES LAPD MAYDAY SKIRMISH 07

To test out the latest HI-POD develpments, we used the HI-POD MOBILE X2 (with new dolly) to follow the Los Angeles May Day march. This a challenging event. The HI-POD user walks with the large crowd thru the downtown streets of Los Angeles. With the introduction of the new HI-POD DOLLY, Our operator was easily able to walk and operate an elevated 15foot HI-POD in the middle of the huge crowd.

The march eventually devolved into a major LAPD smackdown, with rubber bullets being shot into the crowd to disperse it.

Our operator was on the scene to capture great shots with the HI-POD X2 (and new dolly). The dolly made it very easy to move the hi-pod (even when elevated), to locations to get a good shot, and to get away from the police and crowd.

HI-POD Re-introduces the X2 MOBILE

The X2 mobile is now truly mobile. By introducing a detachable dolly, the x2 mobile no longer intimidates anyone. One of the issues we discovered over the years is that everyone loves the X2 mobile but they don;t want to carry it.

The x2 mobile is unrivalled at capturing line of scrimmage footage for sporting events. It allows the user to capture footage from 15 feet above the field and move with the play. Because the HI-POD MOBILE user's camera is elevated 15 feet, the shots are never obstructed by someone walking in front of the camera. Also another safety feature is that the user does not have to get right on the line to get the shot. The user can easily stand 10 yards behind the players get the shots and never be in harms way.

Now with the HI-POD dolly, the user can comfortably cover the entire football field multiple times in a night without working up a sweat. The user can even move the unit while fully elevated. Very Cool.

The mobile HI-POD and dolly will be available this season for rental during football season for all teams, schools, and clubs in Southern California.

Oscars Red Carpet (sort of )

Check out the HI-POD X3 (THE 31 FOOT UNIT)

The new X3 is a 31 foot HI-POD with a 7 inch LCD monitor that also has a built in Harddrive. The Hard Drive is big enough to store the entire season. You can view footage on the 7 inch screen, and you can output to a TV, VHS or Projector. When you connect the Game Recorder via USB to a computer, the Game Recorder acts like a hard drive- making it easy to transfer footage. You can also copy footage to an SD card. The available space at these sort of events is very limited because every news organization out there wants to be part of the Red Carpet coverage. So they all get packed in. And that limits the choices for what can be done, camerawise.

The HI-POD made it possible to get above the crews on either side of the CBS.com team and around the ubiquitous light stands that could have easily blocked the view of the Red Carpet.

By using two HI-PODS (each pointing at the opposite ends of the red carpet) the CBS.com crew was able to capture celebs arriving and walking down the carpet towards the CBS position with one HI-POD, and also focus on them as they posed for the still camera gallery at the opposite end of the runway with the second HI-POD.

These two HI-PODs shared the booth space with the main CBS.com interview camera and provided the necessary cutaway shots needed to give ambient excitement to the webcast.

To view the CBS webcast of the Grammys, click here.

HI-POD Takes it to a new level.

The HI-POD Game Recorder is a technological and cost Breakthrough.
