HI-POD on tour with Snoop Dog, Korn, & Linkin Park

Maryland Heights, Missouri, August 25th, 2004. Snoop Dog, Korn, and Linkin Park packed the house leaving little room for the Projekt Revolution producers to capture crane shots from the center of the floor. That's when they decided to test out the HI-POD.

Because of the HI-POD's small profile and its ability to get above the floor, the Projekt Revolution guys were able to capture altitude shots of the stage as well as of the crowd. The HI-POD's light weight made it possible to reposition the camera and obtain shots from anywhere in the UMB Bank Pavilion.

Filmmaker uses HI-POD on location shoot

Bellaire, Michigan, August 22nd, 2004- Filmmaker Evan Jacobs utilized a prototype water boot for the HI-POD while shooting his latest film on location in Northern Michigan. The film centers around a day by the lake for two teenage girls. The waterfront location posed a unique challenge for the director because it severely limited the camera angles that would be achievable using traditional equipment and the skeleton crew. "I've worked in and around water before and it's always a slow, cumbersome process" says Jacobs. The HI-POD provided a flexible, fast solution to an otherwise daunting cinematic challenge. "Using the HI-POD, I was able to set-up and shoot faster than I would have imagined. And the footage looks breathtaking."

HI-POD shakes up 2004 WEVA-GANZA

Las Vegas, NV, August 19th, 2004- M As VP of Sony marketing, Bob Ott, formally opened the WEVA-GANZA ceremonies, HI-POD hovered above the thousands of WEVA attendees as they ate, drank, and danced the night away. HI-POD attended WEVA EXPO 2004 as an exhibitor, but gladly accepted the opportunity to document the evening's events for WEVA. HI-POD President Enrique Morales videotaped the revelers with a Sony PD-170 on top of the HI-POD x1-P. He later demonstrated the versatility of the HI-POD by putting a Sony 5 mega-pixel DSC-F717 digital still camera on top of the HI-POD. Both techniques resulted in otherwise impossible to get shots. HI-POD booms with introduction of Stability Harness

Los Angeles , CA, August 11th, 2004- HI-POD returns to the WEVA Expo with the highly anticipated stability harness. This accessory takes the HI-POD to a new level. Adding to the HI-POD's speed, mobility, and altitude; the stability harness gives the user an added measure of security as well as stability for steady shots. In addition the stability harness has a second attachment point that makes the HI-POD useful as a true crane, allowing sweeping or following shots, like in your favorite movies. You can even walk with the HI-POD to create steadi-cam movement. Once more, the HI-POD truly takes it to a higher level.
